The Roncalli Elementary Team is for Grades K-6 and the season begins on November 3 and ends on March 13 (Session 1 & Session 2). RWF competes in a full season schedule with our Elementary Team from November-March. Then, we strongly encourage our Elementary athletes to wrestle the freestyle/greco season and train with The Winner’s Circle group March-July (Session 3). The Competition Schedule will consist of ISWA Local and State Tournaments, Dual Meets and Tournaments vs public school teams, CYO Season Schedule, a couple out-of-state tournaments, and a handful of regional and national level events. The more committed Elementary wrestler is also encouraged to participate in The Winner’s Circle training program and compete in a preseason tournament during the months of September and October (Session 1), and to train and compete in the freestyle/greco season with us March-July (Session 3).

Elementary Team Expectation: In order to meet individual and team goals and to maintain a competitive training environment and competition team, we are asking that you commit to attending 80% of the workouts and tournaments in the session. You must email/text Coach McClurg if you have to miss a workout ahead of time. If you meet the attendance requirement for the session and if the coaching staff determines that you are leading a life in The Winner’s Circle on the mat, in the classroom, and in your everyday life… then, you will receive an award and special recognition at the end of that session!
